Forest Shade E 838, lot 2201
Artesano 100% superfine alpaca 4ply is a luxuriously soft multicoloured yarn. This is the Forest colourway with dark green, sage green, royal blue and burnt orange
Is it self striping? Well, sort off - it has a fairly short colour repeat so will knit into narrow stripes on a small items (think socks or mittens) but is likely to pool on larger items
As it's a luxury yarn (rather than a hard wearing one) the FREE pattern included with this yarn is for mittens. You will need 1 x 50g to knit an adult sized pair of mittens on 2.5mm double pointed needles.

The yarn can also be used for a 4 ply pattern with tension/gauge of 28 stitches and 36 rows on 3.25mm needles. There are 200m (184yds) to each 50g ball of yarn.
You can knit socks with this yarn, just bear in mind it has no man made fibre so will wear fairly quickly. When used for socks the recommended tension/gauge is 30 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm/4inches on 2.5mm needles.
