Collection: Portchester Blend - Merino & Bamboo Fibre

A soft blend of five colours of merino and two coordinating colours of dyed bamboo fibre - this combed top gives you the shine and lustre of silk but using a plant fibre instead. I've designed this blend to give you good colour separation, you can strip out the individual colours if you wish. My favourite way to spin it is 'from the fold' so you get sections of the different colours.

If you'd like to try out the Portchester Blend you might want to add a sample to your order

I live (and so the ALT Studio is located) on Portchester Road which leads to the village of Portchester.  To the east of Fareham, at the north of Portsmouth Harbour, Portchester is most famous for the roman fort remains which form part of Portchester Castle. These are the most well preserved roman walls outside of mainland Europe.
