Crocus Stripes Scarf, 100% wool featuring hand dyed and handspun yarn

The warp (that's the threads that run up the length) of this scarf is Cambrian wool. Raised on the Welsh hills, this comes from a cross between a Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) and a Welsh Mountain sheep, known as a mule. This soft and lustrous wool is processed in the UK and was hand dyed in Wales before I spun it to stripey yarn. I wove the scarf on my rigid heddle loom using a UK spun merino and BFL mix as the weft (the thread going side to side)

The finished scarf is pretty stripes of crocus colours - Purples, lilac, yellow and greens against an undyed, natural background

The scarf is 22cm wide and a generous 225cm long, including a 10cm twisted fringe at either end.

As a pure wool item, I suggest handwashing your scarf should it get grubby.
