Olive and Cream Twill Block Scarf
Olive and Cream Twill Block Scarf
Woven on my pre-loved Harris table loom this scarf has 4 shades of olive in the warp and an undyed weft. The changes in twill pattern I made as I wove gives you a block pattern which is reserved on the other side of the scarf.
The scarf is 24cm wide and 160 cm long, including a 10cm twisted fringe at either end.
I wove three different scarves from this one warp, you can see the other two in the final image as well as here and here
Woven using UK spun yarn in a combination of pure merino from the Falklands and a 50/50 mix of the same merino blended with British Bluefaced Leicester wool. Both are luxuriously soft and I suggest handwashing your scarf should it get grubby.
Each of one of my handwoven scarves is finished with a sustainable cork tag.
75% Merino wool 25% Bluefaced Leicester wool, all from non-mulesed flocks
