Rainbow Gradient Scarf in Merino and Silk

I collected together several hand dyed merino and silk tops and spun them in a vaguely rainbow order to create the weft for this scarf.  The result moves from purple, through lilac to blue, then to green via turquoise before finally working through orange and red to reach magenta - it's got a bit of everything! The lighter weight purple warp gives a hint of purple throughout but the hand spun yarn is the star in this one off piece

The scarf is 23cm wide and 180cm long with a narrow purple trim at each end

Luxuriously soft and boldly coloured, I suggest handwashing your scarf should it get grubby.

Each of one of my handwoven scarves is finished with a sustainable cork tag.
